SHARRON COSBY

Sharron CosbySharron Cosby has a heart for hurting parents, particularly moms. She understands the hopelessness of watching a loved one self-destruct through addiction or risky behaviors because she survived the experience with her son.

That sense of hopelessness led her to write Praying for Your Addicted Loved One: 90 in 90, a devotional for families loving an addict. She shares her family’s journey to recovery and hope through daily scriptures, devotional thoughts and journaling space.

A second book, Hope Hooks: Where Do I Hang My Hope? is in the works. This project is a 365-day prayer journal sprinkled with real-life stories of how challenges were overcome through the power of God’s Word, our hope hooks.

Sharron has been published in Guideposts Magazine, Chicken Soup for the Soul and Love Is a Verb, a devotional compilation by Dr. Gary Chapman. Max Lucado produced a Salvation Army edition of his popular You’ll Get Through This book, which includes Sharron’s story, “Crumbs of Hope.”

Not only does Sharron write about hope, she speaks on the subject as well. With her soft-spoken southern charm, she easily connects with her audiences with a message of encouragement.

She is a member of Word Weavers International (Tampa Chapter President) and the Brandon Christian Writers Group. She is a graduate of She Speaks, sponsored by Proverbs 31 Ministries, and Christian Communicators Conference. She has dubbed herself a writers’ conference junkie since she attends as many as she can.

Perhaps her greatest accomplishments are being married more than forty years to her childhood sweetheart, Dan. Together they reared three children who have blessed them with six precious grandchildren. Give her the chance and she’ll tell you all about them.

Sharron and Dan recently embarked on a new adventure: camping in a travel trailer. A city girl from head to toe, she’s ready to step outside her comfort zone and see the country, one campsite at a time.

Sharron would love the opportunity to share with your women’s ministry at luncheons, weekend retreats or other settings. Contact her to explore a time and topic for your event.
